Cardiology and interventional cardiology
I am Chair of the Cardiology Department at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine. I see patients at Medical Park Florya and Liv Hospital Topkapı.
When a patient is in front of me, I do not stop at angiography, echocardiography or other tests. I also listen to how the complaint started, current medicines, accompanying conditions, and the effect on daily life.
A procedure that can be done technically is not always the step that belongs at that moment.

That an intervention is technically possible does not mean it is the right option for every patient. The real question is whether that step belongs now.

I do not read tests one by one. I read them against the complaint and the medicines.

Whether the procedure is needed
Being able to do a procedure is not enough. I try to separate which step belongs at that moment.

Scientific work and physician training
Alongside clinical practice I also make room for scientific work. Physician training in catheter-based valve procedures such as MitraClip and TriClip is part of that.
Physician education
Hands-on training in MitraClip, TriClip, and related catheter-based valve procedures.

Ongoing work in coronary disease, hypertension, and interventional cardiology.
